This month is March Madness and if yours is like most environments, you’ve filled out your brackets in anticipation of some friendly competition in the workplace during the college basketball tournament.
However, a champion isn’t just about one person picking the right teams to move on to each round. It’s about picking people within your culture who can advocate for the well-being of your entire company and encourage employees, especially the newest ones, to participate in training in such as administering CPR and operating an AED.
These same people may even help alert you when certain products in the first aid cabinet needs replenishing – that is, if we don’t do it first at SOS Technologies!
Workplace safety isn’t an initiative that you have to carry exclusively on your own shoulders, so consider creating a small committee of people who can work closely with you and partner with us at SOS so that your environment is always dialed in to the right safety products and training. If genuinely caring for others is part of what your culture values (and really, why wouldn’t it be?), there may be no better way to show it than to identify ambassadors who demonstrate that mission and spread the word of proactive training consistently. And that makes for a winning environment year-round. Not just in March.
