    OSHA Written Plans

    SOS Technologies provides customized, site specific plans written by specialists. All plans are written after extensive evaluation and with input from the client's safety personnel and company management. Federal statutes clearly outline that, in addition to training, written plans may be required to comply with 29 CFR 1910 requirements.

    OSHA 29 CFR Compliance Audit - A complete site evaluation oriented specifically toward identifying any 29 CFR 1910 violation. Audit includes a review of any current written plans, as well as OSHA 300 logs. A written report including observations and recommendations will be provided.

    Bloodborne Pathogens Exposure Control Plan - Complies with 29 CFR 1910.1030 requirements. Addresses the purpose, scope and application of the standard; methods of compliance; definitions, exposure determination; universal precautions; engineering and work practice controls; personal protective equipment; Hepatitis B vaccination; post-exposure evaluation and follow-up; communication of hazards to employees; labels and signs and record keeping.

    Hazard Communication Plan - Required for those employers who expose any of their workers, under normal operating conditions, to hazardous substances. This written Hazard Communication Plan is site specific and complies with 29 CFR 1910.1200 guidelines. Includes chemical inventory list, chemical hazards in the workplace, explanation of MSDS, labeling, emergency response and notification.

    Lockout/Tagout Plan - Written plan is site specific and conforms to 29 CFR 1910.147. Includes procedures that shall be developed, documented and utilized for the control of potentially hazardous energy. Includes information on machines to be energized during repairs or maintenance.

    Lockout/Tagout Machine-Specific Information - Information on each individual machine will be compiled, including the name and location of the machine, types of energy utilized, the magnitude and hazards of the energy; authorized and affected personnel; shutdown procedures; start-up procedures; and single-energy source machines.

    Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Written Plan - Written program satisfies OSHA requirements. Includes sources of motion, extreme temperatures, chemical exposures, dust, etc. Data is organized and analyzed; simultaneous hazards are accounted for.

    Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Hazard Assessment (Formal Walkthrough and Certification) - Formal walkthrough of departments and areas within those departments will be completed, noting such hazards as impact, penetration, compression (rollover), dust/chemical, light/heat, and simultaneous hazards for each machine or source of motion in your facility. Types of recommended PPE for each will be documented.

    Emergency Response and Fire Prevention Plan - Meets 29 CFR 1910.38 and 1910.39 requirements for businesses with more than ten employees. This written Emergency Evacuation Plan is site specific and outlines evacuation procedures, training, chain of command, development of emergency response teams, personal protective equipment, medical emergencies, procedures for disabled employees, and a list of workplace fire hazards.

    Confined Space Procedures Plan - This site-specific plan meets 29 CFR 1910.146 guidelines for confined spaces. It includes requirements for practices and procedures to protect employees in h general industry from hazards of entry into confined spaces, rescue team evaluation criteria and much more.

    Hazardous Materials Contingency Plan - Mandatory for any operation where workers may be required to respond to emergencies involving hazardous materials. Complies with 29 CFR 1910.120. Includes site specific information on site evaluation, training, personal protective equipment, monitoring, medical surveillance, decontamination, evacuation and emergency response.

    Respiratory Protection Plan - The updated standard 29 CFR 1910.134 mandates that a written plan must be in place if workers are required to use any type of respirator. Site Specific plan includes such items as procedures for selecting respirators, medical evaluations, schedules for maintenance of respirators and procedures for regularly evaluating the effectiveness of the program.

    Hearing Conservation Plan - SOS Hearing Conservation Plan is written for those employees who may be exposed to excessive noise while in the workplace. Includes information on testing and training requirements, reducing noise exposure through engineering controls, administrative controls and work practices, record keeping, and more. Complies with 29 CFR 1910.95. Testing and training are also available.

    Ergonomics Program - This site specific written program helps to reduce work-related muscoleskeletal disorders (WMSD's) in the workplace. Includes a survey of your facility, determination of problematic areas and recommendations for specific engineering changes to assist in the reduction of lost workday injuries and workers' compensation costs.

    Chemical Hygiene Written Plan - Designed to comply with OSHA's Occupational Exposure to Hazardous Chemicals in Laboratories, 29 CFR 1910.1450, written plan includes such information as basic procedures, chemical procurement, distribution, storage and environmental monitoring. Also addressed are personal protective equipment, records, signs, labels and procedures to handle spills or accidents. Waste disposal, lab rules and training information is also covered.
